Y'all know I love my Drugstore brands just as much as I do the high ends. CoverGirl has really been doing it this year with the addition of some real heavyweights as far as products goes. One of them is their newest invention Lash Blast. Now I know you have all seen the commercials...a flawless and super svelte Drew Barrymore (looking better than ever - I must say...) with mile high lashes. I was skeptical because I must must must tell you that in most cases, cosmetic companies use falsies in commercials to sell their mascaras...(what it's true...lol). Even the best mascara in the best of circumstances can't give you the look, length and volume in the commercials they just can't.
That being said, I think I have met one that can. CoverGirl Lash Blast is a complete marvel. First off there is the brush - it is huge and it is one of those new rubbery ones with teeth so the mascara stays on the brush. The look here is high drama that separates, lengthens and volumizes with each application. You can actually build your perfect lash. You can actually achieve that long spidery lash from the commercial - no kidding! Now there are some drawbacks - I did find that the brush was a teensy bit hard to work with to get those teeny ones in the corners and if you apply too much at once it can sort of "get away" from you. Just make sure you take your time and apply a little bit all over concentrating on one area at a time as you go across your eye. I said there were drawbacks but after spending a little extra time and a little combing out - look at the results!!
And my darlings - that is just ONE COAT....you heard me! Now bear in mind...this is NOT a mascara for those times when you are running out the door and just want to throw something on. This one takes a little extra time and patience. I don't have any other makeup on my eyes in these photos because I wanted to show you what the mascara really looked like from nothing to something. Lash Blast is only $7.49 and for the Diva on a budget, it's a perfect find. I picked mine up at Target, so try there or your local drugstore should shave it on display just look for the giant orange tube!!
Shop Pretty!!

Oh holy guacamole!
I can hardly believe my eyes! I watched Drew's commercial over and over again and swore that she was wearing false lashes, but I think I'll have to watch again because your lashes in the photo are AMAZING, girl! It's like you have double the lashes!

I know right???? I said the same thing. For $ 7.49 it is totally worth it even if you only use it on your top lashes (which alot of people do...they will use one for the top and another for the bottom) One coat sista!! ONE COAT!!!

I've been using lash blast for about a month now and I am completely in love with it. This is definitely one of the best, if not the best, drugstore mascaras I've ever bought. It really is amazing!

I went running out the the Rite Aid next door on my lunch break. I'm a mascara freak and I'm loving this one. Plus what's not to love about the fat orange tube?!
