    Winterize Your Skin...

Resurface I come from the school of good skin.  If your skin looks crappy then so will your makeup my darlings.  So I tend to spend most of my time in the bathroom on my skin.  I swap out moisturizers and treatments according to the seasons and I always do a deep exfoliation when the weather gets cool to get rid of all the layers of dead skin from the summer that has just past.  I call it winterizing your skin.

Now, there are many many ways to go if you want to do these treatments at home.  A light approach with mutliple steps or the quick and dirty.  A deep exfoliation will help your skin care products to work better as they will penetrate further into the skin.  The way you can tell if a peel is working, you will feel a little tingle when you apply your face cream afterwards...I love that tingle!!!  Here are some of my favorites:

Lancome Resurface C System One of my faves.  I just used this one last week.  The reason that I love this one is because not only do you get the necessary resurfacing element but also a vitamin C "recovery" serum that you use before your nightly moisturizer.  Your skin gets smooth and in addition, vital nutrients to nourish and recover.  FAB.

Philosophy Microdelivery Peel This is great if your skin is even the slightest bit sensitive as you can use it and have no redness.  It is extremely gentle but with fantastic results.  I "prescribed" this for a bride I was working with and she used it for 6 weeks and loved they way her skin felt.

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Peel Pads Super convenient and easy to use.  Everything is all built into the pre-soaked pad.  Filled with alpha and beta hydroxy acids along with amino acids (peptides).  You will get a smoother more refined feel to your skin lickety split.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion  Designed to improve skin's texture, reduce the appearance of scars or acne.  Professional results in a matter of minutes.

Whichever tool you choose, know that keeping away the flakies will ensure that your skin care products work better AND your makeup will go on smoother and look prettier.

    Scrub Pretty!!

I've used Philosophy's Microdelivery Peel and I love it! I also recently tried MD Skincare Daily Face Peel but it was so harsh on my skin. Thank you for the additional suggestions!
