I TiVo everything and I do mean everything ladies. I am always learning something from my TiVo adventures whether it's style tips, makeup finds or recipes (y'all know I can burn...right??) I learned a new thing while watching my fave celeb chef Rachael Ray (even though you call yourself a cook Rachael...you are a chef in my eyes...) she is the queen of the one pot meal isn't she?? anyway, I digress.....LOL
On her show the other day she had a little thing where she was talking about women and heart disease and how it is the number one killer of women...NUMBER ONE???? So on Friday, February 1, 2008, by wearing red in support of women’s heart health, you will be showing your support to the little red dress campaign. The Red Dress—the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness—was designed to build awareness that women are at risk for heart disease, and motivate them to take action to reduce their risk. Follow The Heart Truth and learn about heart disease in women this February, and throughout the year, through a series of exciting events taking place across the nation!
Red Pretty!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for making this very important point! I was shocked when I learned this years ago, and wondered why so few women seem to be aware of it. I think its because heart disease has always been assumed to be a "man's disease," but women can and do die or heart disease in alarming numbers. So please ladies, do something good for for yourselves and the ones who love and start on a heart-healthy lifestyle!
