Clinique Dry Spot Balm...

Winter....winter...winter....I have poor circulation so I am ALWAYS cold so that means cranking the heat.  Unfortunately cranked heat means dry air, so I have to take certain precautions.  I have a humidifier so I don't dry out but that doesn't always work.  That's where products come in.  One that I discovered recently that I have been using is from Clinique's new medical line which available exclusively through dermatologsts.

Clinique Medical, the new skin care line from Allergan and Clinique was created specifically for anyone who is planning to undergo a non-surgical cosmetic procedure or taking certain prescription medications.  I don;t fall into either of those categories BUT the Dry Spot Balm is certainly something that could be used on just about anyone. Formulated with marine botanicals it helped sooth while the six lipid complex helped block the windy weather and kept my lips soft and moisturized. Now a word of caution, if you are looking for a "sexy" lip balm this is not for you.  Clinique Medical products are decidely clinical in both taste, smell and feel.  I did find it (and the rest of the line) available through the Derm Store online as well.

Obession: Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15...

Call me crazy but when it gets cooler outside, I like a gloss with a little more oomph to it.  Somewhere in between a gloss and a  lipstick.  As I have gotten older, I find that I rarely wear lipstick or liner, just gloss.  Weird - right??  Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15 is just what the doctor ordered, the perfect hybrid of gloss and lipstick.  Substantial, but not sticky and super shiny.

It comes in an eye popping 18 shades from sheer and full intensity so you can DEFINITELY find one that you like.

Think Pink: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion...

Remember this bottle??  I think it may have been one of the first facial moisturizers that I ever used. Either Mom or Nana got it in  GWP from the department store (one would get the GWP and then tell the other so we always ended up with two of everything...which was great for me and my sister!  LOL).  It was light and effective and just perfect for little 12 year old me.

Fall 2008: Clinique Modern Matte

Ode to the new matte...not chalky or pasty looking like the mattes of the 90's.  Clinique's Fall 2008 Modern Matte collection includes Colour Surge Eye Shadow Stay Matte.  These shadows have a softer finish and have intense, buildable, easy to blend shades.  The shadows work on women of all ages because it defies creasing....Gotta love that right??

Summer 2008: Clinique Air Kissed Colours...

Obession: Clinique Superbalm...

If you looked in my makeup bag, purse, desk, car, coffee table on any given day...it is clear that I have an obsession with lip gloss/lip balm.  Possibly an unhealthy obsession, but an obsession nonetheless.  Josi was in my car last weekend and she said, "Good lord you have lip gloss everywhere..."  Well imagine my glee when I discovered that Clinique makes a lippy called Superbalm that is a balm and gloss in one!!   Oh happy day!!!!!

This summer, Clinique is debuting a BRAND new collection of long-lasting makeup that will stand up to heat and humidity.  Perfect for a day at the beach or the pool!  The collection is called Long Last Bronze and has been dubbed as a shimmering new collection that can take the heat.  This definitely my kinda makeup - I need long lasting items in the summer that won't look crappy by the end of the day.  DC is VERY humid in the summer and I have been mad on more than one occasion when my makeup has been just gone by 3pm.

Spring 2008: Clinique Nude Blush...

New from Clinique for spring is the Nude Blush Collection.  A set of warm neutral pinky-beige shades that will look great on just about any skintone.  The collection includes 3 new Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duos that follow the matte trend we have been seeing everywhere this spring.  Each duo contains a large base shade with a small contour color...now this is not the matte of long ago, there is a touch of shimmer to warm it up and make it very neutral and decidedly un-chalky.

My other favorite is the dual ended pencil...Cream Shaper for Eyes which is limited edition.  Very creamy, it glides on with no skipping and intense shimmery color.  It also just happens to be non-smudging and water resistant (LOVE IT!!)

I also loved the graduated blushers Blushing Blush Powder Trio, which offers three complimentary shades in graduated succession so you get a natural looking glow.
