Spring 2009: Estee Lauder Fuchsia Now...

Brights...brights and more brights.  Love it or hate it, the bright makeup trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.  I do love that bright lips are sticking around...nothing better in the spring than a bright lip.  The nails are bright too..another trend that I am loving, after all of these dark eggplanty, chocolate shades I will be ready for a change come spring for sure.

Smell This: Estee Lauder Private Collection Amber Ylang Ylang...

The second fragrance in her Private Collection, Aerin Lauder drew inspiration from the luxurious simplicity of her own private world. Amber Ylang Ylang captures the essence of an enjoyable evening in a warm, inviting room filled with the luxurious textures of wood, velvet and cashmere in browns and golds.  I adore "textured" fragrances and this one is a carefully crafted bouquet of Golden Amber, Ylang Ylang, Bulgarian Rose, Honey, Incense, Vanilla and Sandalwood.  The dry down is said to be very decidedly Amber, which I love but the honey/rose element is still prevalent which is why I am dying to try it!  Anything honey/rose reminds me of Nana's perfume that she wore that had no label on the bottle but had been given to her by her mother.  To this day I still have no idea what that scent was, I have the empty bottle and I have been chasing it for YEARS!

I love how perfumers are re-introducing elements to fragrances that were used 50 years ago...the classic element has always appealed to me.  Like something classic your Grandmother wore. The bottle is gorgeous and definitely a collectors item as the cap is embellished with semi-precious stones of tiger eye, smokey quartz and red agate.

The biggest thing that I noticed is that the lip glosses and lipsticks smell like chocolate Raspberry!!  That alone is enough to send me OVER the edge as that is one of my FAVORITE combos.  The compact looks like milk and white chocolate swirled together and will give your face a lovely shimmer.  I will definitely be picking up the compact, and a few lippies for sure.

Summer 2008: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess...

New for summer from Estee Lauder is the Bronze Goddess Collection, with plenty of options from deep bronze to rosey pink.  This collection is an annual event for Estee Lauder fans, every year the shades are a bit different.  This year we have some clear stand outs for me...namely  the Bronzing Pearls,  and the new resurrected limited edition Bronze Goddess fragrance which is a dreamy blend of bergamot, mandarin, Tahitian gardenia, coconut,  amber, sandalwood and vetiver. GAWD!!!

All of these shades will all fantastic with a tan...I am self tanning as we speak because I am excited about the warmer weather that is on the way and I need some base color!!
