Is your hair dry and "malnourished"?? Mine is...it really is and when I visited the Kiehl's Flagship store in NYC I was so excited to see that they had developed a line made with Olive Oil. Olive oil has a special place in my beauty heart because back in the day, my Mom and Nana used to give my sister and I hot oil treatments. Not just any hot oil treatments mind you, they used olive oil warmed in a cast iron pan! Our hair was never ever dry or unmanageable (and we were swimming EVERYDAY....go figure)
Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil line is fantastic if you have extra dry hair. They say...
"Formulated for dehydrated, under-nourished, and damaged hair. It contains Avocado Oil, Lemon Extract, and Olive Fruit Oil–inspired by traditional
home recipes–to help restore the healthy look of the hair, leaving it
full of shine and softness without weighing it down. Ideal for hair
weakened by overexposure to sun, chemical-processing, or excessive heat
styling."
Ummm hello?? Excessive heat styling?? Me me me meeee! So last weekend I gave the entire line a try...shampoo, conditioner and the ultra rich Deeply Repairative Hair Pak. The shampoo was thorough but not drying, the conditioner was very light but still effective in helping to detangle my mop. But the superstar was the restorative pak. My hair felt silky in the water when I rinsed it out! I left it in for 20 minutes (oh yeah I got out of the shower and got back in honey, I need to let my deep conditioners marinate!) My hair was extra soft and insanely shiny.
If your hair is sun or heat damaged I would definitely give this a whirl, and because it's Kiehls it's not insanely expensive which is a huge plus when thinking about buying hair care that is on the department store end of the price scale!
