Get This: Philosophy's When Hope Is Not Enough Replenishing Body Lotion...

Is the skin on your body irritated?  Mine is...know why?  Because it is so cold here (17 degrees) and I KNOW I shouldn't be taking scalding hot showers but I can't help it, I'm freezing.  So what to do?  Normally I slather on cream, oil, whatever.  However, with my skin being so dry, it never lasts.  So I am figuring out that just like your face, sometimes your body needs a little boost from a serum too.  Although Philosophy's latest, When Hope Is Not Enough is classified as a "replenishing body lotion"  it acts like a serum to me.

It contains properties of omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids to restore and condition dry, irritated skin. It has a light scent (nice...) and multiple antioxidants/peptides to protect the skin from stress.  I have been using it UNDER my body cream and I have noticed a difference in the texture and dryness level over the last few weeks.

So although I know I should give up the hot showers, this will keep me from drying out.

Obsession: Philosophy Purity Made Simple High Foaming Daily Cleanser...

Okay...regular readers know of my obsession with Purity Made Simple.  It is to me the HOLY GRAIL of face cleansers (I have a GIANT bottle on my counter in the bathroom from QVC!).  It gets all of your makeup off in one fell swoop and leaves your face clean and not dry.  So when I heard that Philosophy was coming out with a foaming version I was curious.  Could they improve on such a good thing??  Why mess with what I thought was pure perfection??

Well honey, not only did they top themselves, they have come up with a new cult item!  Purity Made Simple Foaming Daily Cleanser is a dream.  I think if the main reason that you didn't like Purity Made Simple in the first place was that "your face didn't feel clean" or you "needed a soapy feeling"...you will be hooked.

Ever want to escape??  Well today is definitely a day that I would like to forget - it has been snowing here in the DC area for about 3 hours straight and the roads are a HOT MESS!!  I just want to get Ty, get home and put my feet up with a nice glass of wine and relax.
