Color In a Flash...

When the weather gets warmer I like EASY.  Something I can put on my face for some color and GO.  Stila Color Push Ups Blush Flash is a warm weather essential for me!  The color is perfect for my skin tone (although they have 3 others that will suit any skin tone).  The formula is lighweight and not sticky at all.  Just gorgeous sheer color.  I have used this on my cheeks, eyes AND lips over a stain for a worry-free look at the beach or pool.

 

I first used this product about 10 years ago and although they have changed the packaging since then, the formula remains the same which makes me VERY happy.  It is a sheer gel stick that is completely oil free.  It dries fairly quickly so you can build and layer it a little bit but the color will remain fairly sheer.

The Color Push Up retails for $20 and is available in 4 shades.  It can be found at Sephora stores nationwide.

Got A Crush On You...

Regular readers know that I am OBESSED with stains of any kind.  I think they look great, help to provide longer lasting looks and more often than not they are water resistant.  My newest obsession is Stila Cherry Crush.  This is a double duty product (gotta love the multi taskers!) that you can use on your lips and cheeks....plus it smells like cherries love it!

Now bear in mind that this another one of those products that claims to adjust to your natural color....whatever.  I like how it looks on ME, however it may be a little dark for the fairer skinned MakeupGirls.

They Say:

Stila Holiday: Gift of Glaze...

Happy Holidaze!!  Halloween is over and you know what that means...the mad crush of holiday shopping is upon us!  I saw them putting up holiday lights at the Town Center the other day!  Geez people it's not even Thanksgiving yet!!  I for one do get excited about all of the smaller versions of that come out just for the holidays.  It's a great way to try things before you spend your dough on the full size versions.

One of my favorite lip glosses is Stila's Lip Glaze.  The gloss is nice and thick..but not sticky at all - plus it comes in this handy little pen with a brush attached.  For the holidaze..they have done the Gift of Glaze which is a limited edition set.  The set contains their best selling shades(grapefruit, apricot, vanilla, and brown sugar) plus two new ones:

Nutmeg Spice (a golden rosy peach with nutmeg flavor)
Candy Cane (a sheer golden red with a candy cane flavor)

This would make a great stocking stuffer (or treat yourself if you are a lipgloss junkie!!)

Makeup 101: Summertime...

Okay so here we are at another warm weather season.  I have gotten a lot of e-mails asking me to review self tanners.  I am directing you over to Beauty Addict who has declared May Fake Bake month.  She will be reviewing many many many different self tanners (she has a rating system and everything....lol) so you can get good info there.

Now onto summer makeup.  So many pretty things to choose from this season!! 

Eyes
Let's start with one of my favorites, Stila's new Summer Eyeshadow Trio.  This beauty grabbed my eye because it looked like an avocado (so clever...making makeup look like food...heh heh)  The colors are soft, sheer and very blendable.  The palette is available in three different color combinations.  If you are planning to be in the water, then look no further than Tarte.  They have come up with an adorable new product called Lock & Roll.  Two dual ended color coordinated creamy shadows that are  water and crease resistant.  Top it off with Lights, Camera, Splashes waterproof mascara and you are good to go.  The mascara even has a little blue jean cover that is waterproof, and if you accidentally drop it in the water - it floats.  Genius!
 

Oooh lala - Stila Plumping Lip Glaze...

Stila has jumped on the lip plumping bandwagon and come out with Plumping Lip Glaze.  A smaller, chubbier version of the lip glaze that I love, the plumping version is the breed of plumpers that don't hurt (yaaaay!!).

By using marine collagen spheres, vitamins A and C with shea butter for added moisture, these glosses keep lips plumped, soft and sexy with no burning irritation (nice).  And you gotta love that they stuck with the click pen packaging they are so famous for.

They come in 6 shades and all are minty and feel great.  I picked up 3 yummy shades...cherry mint, vanilla mint and minty mint.  Retails for $24 at Sephora.
